The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), New Delhi has conducted the Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officers Examination for recruiting Group C executives at IB (Intelligence Bureau). There are three phases of the exam, Tier I,II, and III, the first two phases being the writing phases followed by the personal interview in the final round.
– Tier I is an objective-based paper whereas Tier II is descriptive.
– The sections of Tier I include General Studies, General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language.
– There is a negative marking of 0.25% for every incorrect answer in Tier I.

Exam Pattern: There are three tiers of the IB ACIO exam. Tier I as discussed earlier, is an objective paper. On the other hand, Tier II is a descriptive paper. Those who clear these two respective phases of the examination are summoned for the final interview round.

The first two respective phases of the IB ACIO examination are written exams. Tier I is an objective paper consisting of four major sections whereas the Tier II comprises the descriptive part. Now, we will be detailing the syllabus for both tiers. The expected syllabus is as follows.
