West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB)
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was established in the year 1962 by the Government of West Bengal, in the exercise of the powers conferred under Article 162 of the Constitution of India pursuant to No. 828-Edn(T), dated 02.03.1962 for the purpose of conducting Joint Entrance Examination for admission to various institutions in West Bengal imparting education in medical, engineering and technological courses.
WBJEE has been instrumental in the admission process based on online application and allotment through e-Counselling since 2012. It advocates fairness and transparency, ensures no error, and adopts state-of-the-art technology. For 2021–2022 academic session, the Board will conduct the Common Entrance Examination for admission to Undergraduate Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture in Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self-Financed Institutes in the State.
The examination will be in offline mode (OMR Based Examination)
The subject of Examination: Candidates are required to appear for two papers in WBJEE 2021.
1. Paper-1: Mathematics
2. Paper-II: Physics & Chemistry (Combined)
WBJEE 2021 Application Form: Candidates interested in seeking admission to colleges in West Bengal had to first register online for WBJEE 2021 and fill the exam application form. The application form for WBJEE could be submitted online with the payment of the application fee through online mode. Candidates were advised to go through the guidelines to fill WBJEE application form before commencing with the form filling process. Since the application process is now over, the candidates can check the steps for reference purposes.
Step 1: WBJEE 2021 Registration
To apply for WBJEE 2021 exam, candidates will have to register on the official website. In order to fill the registration form, candidates will have to use their email ID and register as a new user by furnishing details like their name, date of birth and mobile number. On successful WBJEE 2021 registration, an OTP will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number. S/he will have to verify the same in order to complete the WBJEE registration process.
Step 2: Fill WBJEE 2021 application form
The next step is to fill WBJEE application form. Candidates can fill the online application form on the official website. It is advisable for candidates to read the instructions carefully before filling the WBJEE application form and also take a printout of the same to be preserved for future reference. Once candidates have successfully filled and submitted the application form, a unique 7-digit WBJEE application number will be automatically generated. This is to be carefully preserved as proof of successful registration.
The WBJEE application form is divided into two sections:
– Personal Details: Enter details like name, date of birth, father’s name, category, gender, nationality, email ID, phone number, and academic qualifications
– Choice of Exam City: Candidates will have to select three preferred exam cities for WBJEE 2021.
