UPTET Notification
Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is a state-level exam conducted once a year for the recruitment of primary (classes I-V) and upper primary (classes VI-VIII) level teachers in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. Every year, Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) conducts the UPTET exam. The recruitment exam is conducted for the post of Primary and Upper Primary Level teachers in various schools of Uttar Pradesh.
The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board releases the official UPTET Syllabus for Paper 1 and 2.
UPTET Paper 1: Questions from Child Development, Learning & Pedagogy, 1st Language, 2nd Language, Mathematics and Environmental Studies are asked.
UPTET Paper 2: Candidate will have an option in the fourth subject between Mathematics/Science and Social Studies.
UPTET Selection Process:
Written Exam: UPTET exam consists of two papers. Paper-I needs to be given by aspirants who plan to teach classes I-V. Paper-II needs to be given by candidates who plan to teach classes VI-VIII. Candidates who plan to teach classes I-VIII need to appear for both the papers.
UPTET Result: UPTET result is announced by the exam conducting authority on the official website of the exam. Candidates scoring minimum 60 per cent marks in the written test are declared UPTET qualified.
UPTET Eligibility Certificate: Candidates qualifying the written test are issued an eligibility certificate by the exam authority. Candidates having the certificate are eligible to apply for teaching jobs in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The validity of UPTET eligibility certificate is five years.
