Jadavpur University, Kolkata invites online application for the admissions into two year Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) course for the academic session 2019-20.
1. M.P.Ed Course
Eligibility: Candidate should fulfill prescribed eligibility criteria before applying Jadavpur University M.P.Ed Admission 2019. Candidates having Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or equivalent from any university/institute recognized by UGC with minimum 50% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category) are eligible to apply. A candidate who has appeared or due to appear in the B.P.Ed Final Year/Semester Exam 2019, within 1st July, 2019 may also apply, provided he/she fulfils the minimum eligibility criteria in the earlier parts/semesters (PART I Exam or Semesters up to the Final Semester) together For such a candidate the latest available marks in B.P.Ed in Semester System/ Annual System of Exam will be considered for preparing the merit list. Such a candidate, if provisionally selected for admission, shall have to produce a certificate in the prescribed format that his/her B.P.Ed Final Exam has been completed on or before July 1, 2019, at the time of counselling/admission. They have to submit the final mark-sheet of B.P.Ed. Course within 30th October 2019.
Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be made in order of merit ascertained on the basis of a written examination and a practical test:
- Academic Qualifications (10+2 Examination – 10 marks & BA/BSc/ Equivalent – 10 marks): 20 marks
- Written Test (0.5 marks x 20 = 10 marks & 5 marks x 4 = 20 marks): 30 Marks
- Physical Fitness Test [any three, (10×3) out of four]: 30 Marks
- Sports Specialization [any two, (10×2] out of eight]: 20 Marks
Application Process: Application forms are available either at the University Information Counter between 11.00 am and 04.00 pm (02.00 pm – 02.30 pm recess) from Mondays to Fridays (except holidays) or can be downloaded from Jadavpur University Website www.jaduniv.edu.in
