IIM Shillong invites applications for its PhD (Working Professionals) in the following areas
IIM Shillong have the following areas of specialization:
1. Economics and Public Policy; 2. Finance and Accounting; 3. Information Systems; 4. Marketing Management; 5. Operations and Quantitative Techniques; 6. Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources and Communication; 7. Strategic Management; 8. Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility and Ethics
Eligibility:
Candidates should have: Candidates with Masters’ degree must have at least 5 years of professional experience as on 31st July 2019. (Experience Certificate or Pay Slips would be required as proof). No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer is required. Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination with minimum 60% aggregate marks for General Candidates. 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST Candidates. A Masters’ degree or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks for General Candidates, 55% (Engineering students) or 50% (non-engineering students) aggregate marks for SC/ST Candidates or equivalent grade point average; OR Graduation along with Professional qualifications of CA, ICWA and CS with at least 50% marks or equivalent. The above qualification should be from any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956; or, possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE.
Selection Process: Candidates eligible as above, will be shortlisted based on recommendations of the appropriate committee. The shortlisted candidates will be invited for personal interview (and /or written test /video conferencing if necessary) for final selection at a location decided by IIM Shillong.
Application Process: All candidates need to download the application form. The application form (available for download from the link below) should be filled up and submitted online.
The form should be opened using Acrobat Reader only. Instructions for filling up the Application Form: a) Download and Save the Online Form in your Desktop/Laptop
Open the Form using Adobe Acrobat 9 and above. Fill in the Details in the form as required. Provide your First name initial and surname only in the Signature section. [Eg: A.Kumar]
Save the file with your Name. Send the File as an attachment to phd@iimshillong.ac.in with subject: Application/ PhD (Working Professionals). The candidates are requested to be careful while filling in the form and to check the same before submitting it. In case any candidate submits the form more than once, the first such submission will only be considered.
The candidates should take a print of the online form before submitting the same. If the candidate is applying for two areas, two copies must be printed. The printed copy (ies) of the online application form, one for each area, with a recent photograph pasted and with all supporting documents (including self-attested copies of mark sheet and certificates of all public examinations starting from 10th, experience certificate, relevant score card, age proof, etc.) attached separately with each form which may be sent together in one envelop.
