ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka has invited online applications for the engagement of Teaching Faculty on a contractual basis. These positions are for ESI-PGIMSR & Medical College and ESIC Hospital & ODC (EZ), Joka. The engagement will initially be for three years, extendable up to two more years based on satisfactory performance, with a maximum tenure of five years or until the incumbent reaches 70 years of age, or a regular faculty joins, whichever is earlier. ESIC Walkin For Teaching Faculty Vacancies 2025:
1. Professor
Contract Duration: Initial period of 3 years, extendable yearly up to 2 additional years. Maximum tenure is 5 years or until 70 years of age, or joining of regular faculty, whichever is earlier.
Remuneration: Rs. 2,55,960/-
Age Limit: Not exceeding 69 Years on the date of Document Verification & Interview.
Academic Qualifications: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject.
Teaching & Research Experience: 8 years post-PG experience. 3 years as Associate Professor in a permitted/recognized medical college/institution.
At least 4 Research publications (at least 2 as Associate Professor) in indexed journals (Medline, PubMed Central, Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, Embase, Scopus, DoAJ). The author should be among the first three or corresponding author. Completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from NMC designated institutions. Completed the Basic course in Biomedical Research from NMC designated institutions.
2. Associate Professor
Contract Duration: Initial period of 3 years, extendable yearly up to 2 additional years. Maximum tenure is 5 years or until 70 years of age, or joining of regular faculty, whichever is earlier.
Remuneration: Rs. 1,70,208/-
Age Limit: Not exceeding 69 Years on the date of Document Verification & Interview.
Academic Qualifications: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject.
Teaching & Research Experience: 5 years post-PG experience. 4 years as Assistant Professor in a permitted/recognized medical college/institution.
Two Research Publications in indexed journals (Medline, PubMed Central, Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, Embase, Scopus, DoAJ). The author should be among the first three or corresponding author. Completed the ‘Basic Course in Medical Education Technology’ from NMC designated institutions. Completed the ‘Basic Course in Biomedical Research’ from NMC designated institutions.
3. Assistant Professor
Contract Duration: Initial period of 3 years, extendable yearly up to 2 additional years. Maximum tenure is 5 years or until 70 years of age, or joining of regular faculty, whichever is earlier.
Remuneration: Rs. 1,46,232/-
Age Limit: Not exceeding 69 Years on the date of Document Verification & Interview.
Academic Qualifications: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject.
Teaching & Research Experience: Essential: One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized/permitted medical college after acquiring MD/MS Degree. Desirable: Three years as Senior Resident/Tutor/Demonstrator/Registrar/Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned subject in a recognized/permitted medical college after acquiring MD/MS Degree.
4. Assistant Professor (Statistician)
Contract Duration: Initial period of 3 years, extendable yearly up to 2 additional years. Maximum tenure is 5 years or until 70 years of age, or joining of regular faculty, whichever is earlier.
Remuneration: Rs. 1,25,245/-
Age Limit: Not exceeding 69 Years on the date of Document Verification & Interview.
Academic Qualifications: M.Sc. (Health Statistics/Medical Statistics/Bio Statistics/Statistics) with PhD from a recognized University.
Equivalence of DNB with MD/MS: DNB in broad specialty and super specialty from a medical institution with attached hospital or a hospital with 500+ beds is equivalent to MD/MS/DM/MCh. In other cases, one additional year of senior residency in a medical college is required for teaching purposes.
Selection Process: Selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview before the Selection Board.
