Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi has invited online applications for temporary Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position 2025. This position is part of an ICMR-sponsored research project titled “Identification and Characterization of Cancer Stem Cell Heterogeneity in Head and Neck Cancer Patients and Their Response to Chemotherapy and Radiation: A Prospective Study.”
JNU SRF Molecular Medicine Vacancy 2025:
1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF): 01 Post
Salary: Rs. 35,000/- per month + 27% HRA
Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Chemical Sciences, or an equivalent subject with a strong academic record.
Preferred Qualification:
– Candidates who have qualified NET-LS/GATE will be given preference.
– 2 years of research experience in Molecular Biology techniques, Tissue culture, and animal handling.
– Preference will be given to meritorious students and those with research experience in mammalian cell culture, animal handling, medicinal chemistry, and drug discovery.

– Duration of Appointment
The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project duration.
Initial appointment may be for three months, extendable based on performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.
Appointed candidates are required to work a minimum of one year from the date of joining; otherwise, the entire fellowship amount received must be returned to the institution.
A 3-month notice period is required if appointed to another organization.
Selection Process:
– Shortlisting: Eligible candidates may be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience, depending on the total number of applications received. JNU reserves the right to relax qualifications if a candidate is otherwise well-qualified by the Selection Committee.
– Interview: Interviews will be conducted through online mode.
– Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the date and venue of the interview via email/post. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
