The India Meteorological Department (IMD), New Delhi has invited online applications for the Deputy Director, Assistant Director and Senior Translation Officer Positions 2025. Selection will be done on the basis of test/interview and shortlisted candidates will be appointed at Delhi. (Advt. No. 01/2025)
IMD Director & Translation Officer Vacancies 2025:
1. Deputy Director (Official Language): 01 Post
Qualification: (a) Master’s degree of a recognised University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (b) Master’s degree of a recognised University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (c) Master’s degree of a recognised University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (d) Master’s degree of a recognised University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
Pay Scale: INR 44900-208700/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 56 Years
2. Assistant Director (Official Language): 03 Posts
Qualification: (a) Master’s degree of a recognised University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (b) Master’s degree of a recognised University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (c) Master’s degree of a recognised University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (d) Master’s degree of a recognised University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.

3. Senior Translation Officer: 02 Posts
Qualification: (a) Master’s degree of a recognised University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (b) Master’s degree of a recognised University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (c) Master’s degree of a recognised University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (d) Master’s degree of a recognised University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
