National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE), Chennai has invited online applications for the recruitment of Assistant, Lower Division Clerk (LDC), and Upper Division Clerk (UDC) Positions 2025. NIE LDC, UDC & Assistant Vacancies 2025:
1. Assistant
Qualification: i. Minimum three years Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a Recognized University/ Institution; and ii. Working Knowledge of Computer (MS Office/ Power Point).
Pay Scale: INR 19900-112400/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 30 Years
2. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
Qualification: i. 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University. ii. Typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer. (35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.)
Pay Scale: INR 19900-112400/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 30 Years
3. Upper Division Clerk (UDC)
Qualification: i. Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. ii. Typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer. (35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.)
Pay Scale: INR 19900-112400/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 30 Years
Selection Process: Computer Based online screening examinations for the post of Assistant consisting two tiers (Tier -1: A Computer Based Test of MCQs and Tier-2: Computer Proficiency Test) will be held.

– SC/ST/PwD/ESM/WOMEN Candidates – Rs.1600/-.
