The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC), Goa has invited online applications for the engagement of a Research Officer/Consultant (Finance) on a short-term contractual basis.
JERC Consultant (Finance) Vacancy 2025:
1. Research Officer / Consultant (Finance): 01 Post
Remuneration: ₹55,000/- to ₹90,000/- (excluding taxes, if applicable)
Contract Duration: The initial engagement will be for one year, with a possibility of renewal for further periods up to one year at each occasion, based on satisfactory performance. The fee may be enhanced upon renewal in deserving cases based on performance.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with CA (Inter)/CMA (Inter)/ MBA Finance.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 Years.
Essential Experience: 3 to 10 Years
Desirable Experience:
– Financial modeling for tariff determination.
– Tariff finalization in the Regulatory Sector or Power Sector.
– Carrying out economic analysis and use of statistical techniques as related to the power sector.
– Engineering qualification would be an added advantage.
General Terms & Conditions:
– Purely contractual basis.
– Normal working hours: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (5 days a week), including a 30-minute lunch break. May be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and Gazetted holidays, or beyond normal hours in exigencies.
– Entitled to 18 days of leave in a contract year. Un-availed leave will not be carried forward or encashed.
– Expenses for official travel within India will be reimbursed equivalent to Level 7 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
– Full-time engagement; no other assignment permitted during the contract period with JERC.
– Lump sum monthly professional fees paid on completion of the month, on production of bill. TDS will be deducted.
Selection Process:
– Based on written examination/interaction before the Consultancy Evaluation Committee, or as decided by the Commission.
– Shortlisted candidates (fulfilling eligibility or granted relaxation) will be called for a written test/interaction.
– Final selection based on ranking/merit of the written test/interaction score.
– Candidates must bring original documents relating to qualification, experience, etc., for examination before the written test/interaction.
– No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the written examination and/or interaction.
