University of Kerala Admissions 2019: Master of Visual Arts (Painting and Art History) Counseling & Selection Process

University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram invites online application for admission into Master of Visual Arts in Painting and Master of Visual Arts in Art History offered for the year 2019 by University of Kerala at Raja Ravi Verma Centre of Excellence for Visual Arts, Mavelikkara.

1. Master of Visual Arts in Art History: 7 Seats
2. Master of Visual Arts in Painting: 7 Seats

Eligibility Criteria: For Master of Visual Arts in Art History: Minimum Second Class Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from a recognized University (2 years duration) or Minimum second class Bachelor’s degree in Humanities with proven aptitude in Fine Arts and its theoretical studies (3 years duration)
Master of Visual Arts in Painting: Minimum second class Bachelor’s degree in painting with not less than 55% of the marks. (2 years duration)

Selection Process: Selection will be made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination, entrance test and performance in the interview. Only those candidates who score minimum 40% mark in the entrance test will be called for interview.

Qualifying Examination: 20%
Written test: 60%
Interview: 20%
Total: 100

Application Process: Application for the course will be available in the University website (exams.Keralauniveristy.ac.in) and the filled in applications shall be submitted to the Principal, Raja Ravi Varma Centre of Excellence for visual Arts, Mavelikkara along with the prescribed fees and copies of relevant documents.
