This section consists of a face-to-face interview that checks the candidate’s general English speaking skills and whether the candidate can talk Effectively with native English speakers. This section is divided into three parts- Personal Interview, Little Speech, and a Discussion. The total time given to the candidate is 11 to 14 mins.

 

IELTS Speaking Practice

1. In part 1, The candidates will be asked some general questions about themselves, hobbies, family, home, studies, etc. The total time duration will be 5 mins.
2. In part 2, candidates will be given a flashcard by the examiner. This flashcard contains some topics and 2 mins will be given to think about the topic. Candidates are required to speak on that particular topic for 2 mins. Once the speech is over, the examiner will ask some questions related to that topic.
3. In part 3, candidates have to give a long speech on the given topic. After the completion of the speech, questions are asked by the examiner, along with a deep discussion between the candidate and the examiner.
