IIT Kanpur PhD, MTech, MDes and MS Research Admission 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has invited online applications for admission to Ph.D., M.Tech, M.Des. and M.S. (By Research) programs for the academic Session 2021-22. Interested students can apply through the online and offline mode before 18th April 2021.

Eligibility: The specified minimum marks/CPI (Cumulative Performance Index), referred to in subsequent sections, implies a minimum of 55 percent marks /5.5 (on a 10 point scale) as long as it is not less than the minimum pass marks/CPI; otherwise, the specified minimum marks/CPI implies the minimum pass marks/CPI.
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes who have passed the basic qualifying degree are eligible to apply irrespective of the marks/CPI and will be considered for admission.
– PhD Programs: Master’s degree in the relevant subject or a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science (4-year programme) with marks/CPI not the specified minimum.
– M.Tech Programs: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science (4-year programme) or a master’s degree in science with marks/CPI not the specified minimum. A valid GATE score is required for admission to the MTech programme in the case of regular (non-sponsored) candidates.
– M.Des. Program: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or science (4-year program), Design or Architecture with marks/CPI not the specified minimum. Candidates holding degrees in Fine Arts or Interior Design are not eligible to apply. A valid GATE/CEED score is required for admission to the M.Des.
– MS (By Research) Programs: For Aerospace Engineering -Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or science (4-year programme) or a Master’s degree in science with marks/CPI not below the specified minimum.
– Electrical Eng & Mechanical Eng: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or science (4-year programme) with marks/CPI not below the specified minimum.
– For Cognitive Science: Applicants must have a: (i) B.Tech/BE (any branch), BS 4-year program (Physics/ Chem/ Math/ Stat/Biosciences/ related sciences), MBBS. An applicant must have a minimum of 60%/6.0 marks/CPI in the qualifying degree.

For SC/ST and all DAP candidates (including General, EWS & OBC): Rs.200/-
