IBSAT Syllabus

The IBSAT exam syllabus consists of all important topics as are covered in the other national MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT, NMAT, MAT, ATMA. IBSAT is an online computer based MBA entrance test like other exams mentioned above, the IBSAT Exam Syllabus 2019 is also divided in 4 key sections of the exam. These sections from which questions will be asked in IBSAT exam are quantitative ability, data interpretation and data adequacy, verbal ability and reading comprehension.

IBSAT Exam Pattern: The exam is generally of easy to moderate difficulty level. A total of 25% is specified for this written exam in IBSAT Selection Process.

IBSAT Verbal Ability Syllabus: Verbal Ability questions test a candidates’ acquaintance with English and its usage. The section has highest weightage in the exam i.e. 50 questions of total 50 marks.

  • Vocabulary: 25 Questions
  • English Usage: 10 Questions
  • English Grammar: 10 Questions
  • Cloze Test: 05 Questions

IBSAT Reading Comprehension Syllabus: There are 30 questions in the Reading Comprehension section that candidates have to attempt. The section comprises of three unseen passages with eight questions dedicated to each passage. The passages generally range from 500 to 600 words.

The questions asked in this section are direct and seek factual answers. Difficulty level is moderate with only a few surprise questions. Through this section, a candidate’s comprehension skills, reading and understanding ability is tested.

IBSAT Quantitative Ability Syllabus: The quantitative ability section of IBSAT 2019 comprises of 30 questions in total. The difficulty level is considered to be higher as compared to other sections. Through this section, candidate’s basic mathematical understanding/ ability to deal with numbers is analysed.

IBSAT Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation Syllabus: There are 30 MCQs from this section. As per the trends, the level of difficulty is easy to moderate. It is futher divided into various topics viz. Data Sufficiency, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation. The questions are framed to test the candidates’ ability to deal with a large amount of data. Questions are ideally based on pie charts, lines, tables and graphs.
