Andhra Bank, which is a nationalized bank of the country, provides study loan including Dr. Pattabhi Vidya Jyothi Educational Loan. The bank was founded by Dr. Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya. Registered on 20th November, 1923, it started operations from 28th November, 1923 with a capital of Rs.1 lacs and an authorized capital of Rs.10 lacs.

Eligibility in terms of Age:
The loan is designed to cover various expenses such as Tuition Fee, Hostel Fee, Examination Fee, Books, Project Work, Study Tours and others. The bank also offers the refundable amount, which students are supposed to deposit at the time of admission. Further, for Abroad Studies, it also covers Air Passage and Maintenance expenses.
Amount up to 4 Lakhs is exempted by the bank and anything above is liable for 5 % in India and 15% in abroad.
The bank has recently increased its Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BMPLR) from the existing 12.25 per cent to 13 per cent with effect from today. However, it is not application for education loan up to 4 Lacs. * Upto Rs.4.00 Lacs--(BMPLR -1.25) - Presently 11.75%
