Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (NIHE), Almora has invited online applications for the recruitment of Junior Project Fellow/Junior Project Fellow Positions 2020. Interested candidates can apply through the prescribed format before 05th June 2020. Candidate having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good academic records and experience can apply for these posts under ‘Himalayan Alpine Biodiversity Characterization and Information System-Network (NMHS-IIRS)’ project at Kosi-Katarmal (Almora) campus of the Institute.

1. Junior Project Fellow (JPF)
Qualification: First class M.Sc. in Botany/Forestry/Ecology/ Environmental Science OR M. Sc in Remote Sensing & GIS or equivalent with the dissertation in Forestry/Ecology. Knowledge of plant taxonomy and application of RS & GIS in forestry and ecology.
Pay Scale: Rs. 31,000 + HRA per month as per institute norms (for NET qualified) and Rs. 20,000 + HRA per month as per institute norms (Non-NET)
Age limit: 28 Years
Selection Process: Selection of the candidates for the post will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed separately about the date of interview by the Institute.
