B.Ed, M.Ed, DPPTT Programmes 2012

The selection of B.Ed, M.Ed will be made purely on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination i.e., graduation for B.Ed and B.Ed for M.Ed. However, the criteria to determine merit for selection of M.Ed programme will be out of 100 points which will be calculated as under.

The percentage of marks obtained by a candidate in the B.Ed examination shall be worked out with the weightage of; Theory 70%; Practice Teaching 30%.

For the B.Ed/M.Ed courses, students should apply only at one place either at Jammu or Srinagar. The submission of double application forms for Jammu chapter and Kashmir chapter is liable to rejection without any notice and no claim for admission will be entertained. The candidates residing outside the state shall submit their application forms for Jammu Chapter only

Diploma in Pre-Primary Teachers Training Programme (DPPTT) (for Kashmir division only).

The in-service teachers having passed 10+2 examination with minimum 40% marks and having put in at least two years of continuous service in the Govt or Private, Govt recognized school/institution at the time of submitting application form are eligible (experience to be attached).

A candidate having secured 45% marks or above in aggregate in 10+2 examination shall also be eligible for seeking admission to the course.
