The Staff Selection Commission will hold The Combined Graduate Level (Tier-I) Examination, 2010 on SUNDAY 16th of May, 2010 and if necessary, on subsequent Saturdays/Sundays, for different batches of candidates appearing for the examination, for selecting the candidates for the Tier-II examination for filling up different categories of posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organisations. Subject to unforeseen administrative / public exigencies The Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination, 2010 is likely to be held on SATURDAY 31st of July, 2010 and on SUNDAY, the 1st of August, 2010 respectively. Final recruitment through the Combined Graduate Level Examination to specific category of posts would be subject to receipt of intimation of confirmed number of vacancies from the concerned Intending Department/Office/Cadres, well before the Tier II Examination.

SCHEME OF THE EXAMINATION FOR COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAMINATION
The Scheme of the Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below:
1st Tier – Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
2nd Tier – Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
3rd Tier – Personality Test /Interview or Skill Test
Candidates opting for post of Sub-Inspector in CPOs will be required to undergo Physical Endurance Test (PET)/Medical Examination at any convenient time after declaration of result of Tier I.

Applications on the prescribed form (OMR Computerized application form) along with category certificates in respect of reserved category candidates are invited by 30th January, 2010 ( 15th February, 2010 for the candidates residing in Andaman &Nicobar Islands, Lakshdweep, Ladakh Division of J&K State, Sikkim, Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Bharmour Sub. Division and Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District, Dodrakawar Sub Division of Shimla District, Kinnaur and Lahaul & Spiti District Of H.P. whose applications are received by post from these areas) for appearing in the State Eligibility Test to be held on 11-04-2010 tentatively, for making the candidates eligible for recruitment to the posts of Lecturer (College Cadre) in the subjects mentioned below. SYLLABUS OF TEST:
The syllabi for all the papers are that of UGC/CSIR examination. For Science subjects viz Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences, Paper-I will be according to syllabi of UGC NET, the Paper II will be from the syllabi of Section(B) of Paper-I of CSIR and Paper-III will be from syllabi of Paper-II of CSIR. The syllabi for all SET subjects can be downloaded from the H.P. Public Service Commission’s website www.hp.gov.in/hppsc. The syllabi can also be downloaded from UGC website www.ugc.ac.in. This agency will not supply the copies of syllabus to the individual candidates.

CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY
a) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from university / institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this test. The Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Physically Handicapped (PH) / Visually Handicapped (VH) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this test.
b) Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) Examination or whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed, may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for Lecturership eligibility only after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ ST/ PH/ VH category candidates). Such candidates must complete their P.G degree examination within two years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
c) The Ph.D degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.
d) Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post -graduation only. The candidate, whose post-graduation subject is not covered in the list of subject mentioned above, may appear in related subject.

DELHI HIGHER JUDICIAL SERVICE EXAMINATION, 2009

The High Court of Delhi will hold written examination for direct recruitment to Delhi Higher Judicial Service on Sunday the 13th December, 2009. It will be a two stage selection process comprising Written Examination carrying 750 marks and Viva Voce carrying 250 marks. The written test will comprise two parts, Part I objective and Part II descriptive. Syllabus for the written examination shall comprise GK, Current Affairs, English Language and topics on Constitution of India, Evidence Act, Limitation Act Code of Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Penal Code, Contract Act, Partership Act, Principles Governing Arbitration Law, Specific Relief Act, Hindu Marriage Act, Hindu Succession Act, Transfer of Property Act and Negotiable Instrument Act.

The time-scale of pay of members of the Service is Rs. 16750-20500/- [ Rs.37400-67000 Grade Pay Rs.8900 in new pay scale] . A candidate shall be eligible to appear in the examination if he/she is (a) a Citizen of India, (b) a Law Graduate from a recognised university, (c) a person practicing as an Advocate for not less than 7 years (d) a person who has attained the age of 35 years but not less attained the age of 45 years as on 1st January 2009.

Application form including the DHJSE Registration Form can be had personally on payment of Rs.1000/- each for General Category candidates and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/PH candidates on any working day from 14/09/2009 to 14/09/2009 from the Filing Counter of Delhi High Court or by sending at his own risk, a self-addressed envelope of 38 cm X 25 cm size with Postage Stamp of Rs. 60/- affixed on it along with Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- for General Category candidates and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/PH candidates in favour of Registrar General, Delhi High Court, New Delhi, payable at New Delhi, in an envelope addressed to Joint Registrar (Vig.), Delhi High Court, New Delhi, superimposed with words in bold letters, “DHJS EXAMINATION – 2009″. The prescribed application form along with instructions and DJSE Registration Form will be send to the candidate(s) by Speed Post/ Registered Post only subject to their fulfilling above said requirements and no enquiry/ correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.

Applications on the prescribed form and the DHJSE Registration Form duly filled in along with copies of the requisite documents as per instructions should be sent by “Registered Post Acknowledgement Due” addressed to the Joint Registrar (Vig), Delhi High Court Sher Shah Road, New Delhi-110003, by designation, enclosed in the envelope provided with the application form so as to reach him not later than 15/10/2009. Applications can also be submitted personally at the Filing Counter of Delhi High Court on any working day till 15/10/2009.

The number of vacancies likely to be filled in is 10 out of which 03 vacancy is reserved for ST, 01 for SC and 05 for General.

1. Indian Military Academy Dehradun 129th Course Commencing in July, 2010 [includes 32 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders].
2. Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala commencing in July, 2010 Executive (General service) [including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders (Naval Wing)].
3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in July, 2010 i.e. No.188th F(P) Course.
4. Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai 92nd SSC Course (for men) commencing in October 2010.

Eligibility:
A. Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:
i. For Indian Military Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 1991 only are eligible.
ii. For Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 (2nd July 1986 in case of NCC Naval Wing C Certificate holders) and not later than 1st July 1991 only are eligible.
iii. For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1987 and not later than 1st July, 1991 only are eligible.
iv. For Officers Training Academy (SSC Course for Men): Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1985 and not later than 1st July, 1991 only are eligible.
v. For Officers’ Training Academy – SSC (Women Non-Technical) Course: Unmarried women are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1985 and not later than 1st July, 1991.

B. Educational Qualifications:
i. For Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy – Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
ii. For Naval Academy: — B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering.
iii. For Air Force Academy- Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and have yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent examination by the specified dates published in Commission’s Notice for the Examination.

C. Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2009 as given in Appendix—V of Commissions Notice for the Examination

How To Apply: Candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices (specified in Appendix—lll of the Notice) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees twenty only). Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination.

In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from the designated HPOs/POs, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC’s “FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL” over Telephone No.011-23389366/Fax No.011-23387310.

FEE: Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of Fee. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee).
