The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MAH-CET-2010 for all Health sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy Degree Courses will be conducted by the Government of Maharashtra and for that purpose it has appointed the Director, Medical Education and Research as the competent authority.
However, for the selection purpose there would be different competent authorities and the Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra will be the competent authority for Engineering and Parma Courses. MAH CET 2010 is conducted for admission to the Govt./Municipal Corp./ Govt. Aided colleges of Health Sciences degree courses, Govt./ Govt. Aided/ University Managed Colleges/ University Departments and Unaided Private Colleges (those colleges who have given consent to participate in MAH-CET 2010) of Engineering and Pharmacy degree Courses and BVSc & AH degree course.
Schedule of MAH CET 2010:
Issuing of CET Forms: March 2nd-4th week, 2010
Last Date for submission of completed CET forms: 4th week, 2010
Date of MHT CET Test: May 1st week, 2010
Announcement of Results: Mid June 2010
Eligibility:
Indian nationals passed or appearing in the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Math and English as the subjects at HSC or its equivalent examination and must have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra State only). Outside Maharashtra candidates would be eligible to appear in the MAH CET but they would be considered for admission to unaided private institutes only.
MAH CET 2010 Application Forms
The Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai continues the system of online receipt of application form for Engineering/Medical/Pharmacy for the year 2009-2010.
a) Information brochure alongwith the Application Kit for the aspiring candidates will be available at the identified post offices during contact hours against the payment of the application form processing fees.
b) It is mandatory to procure the information brochure and go through it carefully. The CET that will be conducted in pursuance of this advertisement is subject to the rules and regulations set out in this information brochure. The further admission process, especially in respect of Private Unaided Institutes will be in terms of the clarification read with aforesaid rules and regulations.
c) Submission of the application form in response to this advertisement will amount to accepting the afore said rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules & regulations as legal, valid and correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having submitted the application form to question the legality, validity and correctness of these rules & regulations.
